Hydrophilic sealing strip used in concrete construction to ensure the water tightness of the cold joints. It is made of special synthetic rubber compounds that swell in the presence of water to fill irregularities and small voids.
Rubber hydroexpansive Joint is positioned in the middle of the cold joint on clean surfaces and nailed by means of concrete rivets every 20-30 cm. The jointing of two strips is executed by overlapping them side by side for a length of about 5-7 cm.
